Join us for a seasonal flower arranging workshop at Kajiha flower shop in the Makers Guild in industry city Brooklyn. You will learn a basic ikebana approach to choosing, and arranging flowers. The workshop is structured for you to try Ikebana-style arrangements, get creative, and have fun. The workshop is designed for beginners levels interested in Ikebana flower arrangements and would like to try Ikebana-style flower arrangements. This is a trial class; we use floral foam and a container instead of an Ikebana pin frog and vase.

Through this kids’ workshop, we hope to impart such a beautiful tradition to future generations. Children will have a chance to learn about flowers and different plant materials, about the appropriate containers (vases) to use, about placing the materials in the basic positions, and how best to exhibit their work. The class is a trial class for the Ikebana approach. Materials, floral foam, a container, and flowers are included in the price. Please bring your own scissor.
